Ten Carat

Ever since I took this picture I keep coming back to look at it again and again. There is something that energises this image for me - the model's near symmetrical face and piercing eyes give it a mesmerizing appeal. She has a real presence about her.

I took this picture in my studio close to Nice, south of France during the height of summer 2023. It was hot, over 31 C and I think her skin radiates some of that heat. Pure photographer's gold.

I set out for an Asian vibe with a diamond representing something akin to a Bindi. And she needed to look sexy but tough. Uncompromising. Grab your attention and not let go.

And boy did she pull it off. The piercing eyes and pin-sharp mouth give this picture an extraordinary look.

As if she can stare right through you.

I believe this is a statement piece. The dark tattoo provides a stunning contrast making it a talking point and I hope it will find a spot in such a home.
